The application uses interoperable digital twins and mobile apps to assist the process of digitizing and managing data in the areas of management, safety, engineering, equipment, and lifecycles in the form of data sheets, handbooks, diagrams, drawings, certificates and more.
The innovative Vespland software enables all relevant facility data and processes to be digitalized and makes them fast and easily accessible. Many companies must meet stringent legal and normative documentation requirements that entail extensive administrative work, as well as incurring associated overheads. Legally compliant documentation ideally requires all the critical technical documents relating to complex facilities to be stored in a single, centralized location to guarantee smooth, safe operations and resolve any issues quickly. This can present a challenge, however, as documents that have been manually created and archived are often incomplete, incorrect, or out of date.
Continuous and thorough data maintenance

Intuitive handling motivates the staff to carry out regular, detailed maintenance while also significantly reducing the number of errors. Data consistency is ensured through several methods, such as near-field communication (NFC) technology, i.e., contactless data transfer, and QR code scanning via the Vespland Mobile App. The equipment can be linked directly to the functional location.
Every step, from registration to storage, installation, maintenance, verification, deinstallation, and scrapping, is recorded in the lifecycle in the central database using mobile processes and updated on an ongoing basis. Manufacturer interfaces provide users with all the relevant equipment data, eliminating the need for manual entry and avoiding potential sources of error.
Our modular design makes access and document creation easy
The modular design gives users access to all equipment data. The digitalised connections between pieces of equipment let users create intrinsic safety certificates (Ex(i) certificates) or functional safety certificates, allowing them to access all lifecycle data. The module Vespland FS (functional safety) allows users to reliably assess the complete Safety Instrumented Function (SIF), ensuring safety within an operational site and enabling verifications and basic protective circuit information. Creating the necessary intrinsic safety documentation required by facility operators in the form of explosion protection documents is equally simple – it is enabled, for example, by the Vespland Ex(i) module.
Optimizing ordering processes, reducing unnecessary variety
To avoid offering an unnecessarily large range of items and eliminate additional cost and effort when it comes to ordering, storage and processing, guidelines can be established in the operational reliability and standardization category. There is also a mapping of standardized workflows that can be used to document the operational reliability of equipment groups. These feed into standard device lists, which contribute to the operational reliability of equipment via a standardized process. This quickly reveals the functional safety of specific components under the same environmental and usage conditions over the long term. The processes for ordering new or replacement equipment are also made significantly more efficient, firstly by allowing order approvals in exceptional cases and when specific criteria are met, and secondly through precise needs assessments for adopting a standard.
